B.A. Biology, Concordia College, Bronxville, NY
American College of Sports Medicine Certified Trainer
Caroline Bednarski has been working in the Farmington Valley since 2010. She has been practicing the Active Isolated Stretch Method since 2012 on a wide variety of clients and age groups including post surgical muscular redevelopment, stretching to reduce and eliminate back pain, improving senior strength and range of motion, and stretching for athletic performance. As a certified personal trainer, she has been helping clients lose weight and improve strength, flexibility, balance and cardiovascular health through exercise and nutrition counseling. Caroline has also worked with clients to improve posture, scoliosis, shoulder movement and strength of a joint prior to surgery.
Caroline works with clients one on one in a style of stretching known as Active Isolated Stretching, the Mattes Method. Caroline has attended three seminars in Sarasota, Florida, under the tutelage of Aaron Mattes and his team of instructors. To find out more, click on the "ABOUT AIS" tab at the top of the page.
Caroline is also a Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist. Exercise before, during and after cancer treatment can be of substantial benefit. Exercise improves or maintains strength, improves range of motion, helps to slowly return blood flow to the affected area and greatly improves a sense of well being. By completing a series of simple yet effective movements, the individual can accelerate recovery time while reducing the chances of lymphedema. Valley Stretching provides a clean, private space for the individual to work one on one to achieve their goals.
